Your Shadow Is Not Your Darkness…

Most people are afraid of their shadow.

They imagine it as the dark, destructive, or a shameful part of themselves.

But your shadows are not your enemy.

It is what you had to hide in order to belong.

The anger that was called “too much.”

The sensitivity that was called “weak.”

The ambition that was called “selfish.”

The intuition that was dismissed.

The voice that learned it was safer to stay quiet.

When parts of you are not welcomed, they don’t disappear.

They go underground.

They become shadows.

Shadow work is not about fighting darkness or digging for something broken.

It is about gently turning toward the parts of you that were never given safe space to exist.

And when those parts are met with presence instead of rejection, something powerful happens.

They soften.

They integrate.

They return as strength.

The light grows not because the dark was eliminated

but because it was finally acknowledged.

This is the heart of the work I hold space for.
